Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Red Bag Productions Affiliate Program, from signing up and earning commissions to getting paid and promoting our products.

Getting Started

The Red Bag Productions Affiliate Program allows approved partners to earn commissions by referring new customers to our products and services. We operate multiple affiliate programs, each covering a different area of our business including premium membership websites, eBook stores, and digital software products.

Each individual program features multiple websites and/or products that you can promote using your unique referral links. When someone clicks your link and makes a qualifying purchase, you earn a commission.

Anyone aged 18 or over who owns or operates a website, blog, social media account, YouTube channel, podcast, email list, or other digital platform is welcome to apply. You will also need a valid PayPal account capable of receiving payments in your country.

We welcome affiliates from all backgrounds and niches, whether you are a content creator, blogger, influencer, educator, or marketer. There is no cost to join.

Visit our Affiliate Programs page, choose the program you would like to join, and click the apply button. You will be asked to provide your name, email address, website or platform URL, a brief description of how you plan to promote our products, and your PayPal email for commission payments.

Applications are typically reviewed within 1 business day. Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email that your account is setup to receive affiliate commission payments earned through your unique referral links, and marketing materials.

Yes. There is absolutely no cost to join any of our affiliate programs. There are no hidden fees, no minimum sales requirements to maintain your account, and no charges for accessing marketing materials or your affiliate dashboard.

Yes. You are welcome to apply to and participate in as many of our affiliate programs as you like. Each program has its own set of products, websites, commission structure, and marketing materials.

Programs and Products

Each affiliate program is built around a specific product category or brand and typically includes multiple websites and/or products that you can promote. For example, a single program might cover several membership websites or a range of eBooks and software tools all under one umbrella.

When you join a program, you get access to referral links for every product and website within that program, giving you more opportunities to earn from a single sign-up.

Depending on the program you join, you may promote:

  • Premium membership websites — subscription-based platforms offering exclusive content, courses, and community features.
  • eBooks and digital publications — downloadable books, guides, and reference materials sold through our online stores.
  • Digital software products — plugins, applications, tools, and utilities available as one-time purchases or subscriptions.

Full details of the products and websites available in each program are provided in your affiliate dashboard after approval.

No. You are not required to purchase any product in order to promote it. However, we do recommend familiarising yourself with the products you promote so that your recommendations are genuine and informed. In some cases, we may offer complimentary access to certain products for active affiliates so you can create more authentic, detailed content.

Commissions and Payouts

Commission rates are program-specific and vary depending on the products and program you are promoting. Each program displays its commission rate on the program page and within your affiliate dashboard. Rates are clearly shown before you join so there are no surprises.

Some programs also offer recurring commissions on subscription-based products, meaning you continue to earn for as long as your referred customer remains an active, paying subscriber.

All commissions are paid monthly via PayPal. Payments are processed within the first 15 days of the month following the month in which commissions were earned. For example, commissions earned in March would be paid between 1 and 15 April.

All commissions are subject to a 30-day holding period from the date of the qualifying transaction. This allows time for refunds, chargebacks, or disputes to be resolved before your commission is finalised.

Minimum payout threshold: Your accrued balance must reach the minimum threshold (shown in your dashboard) before a payment is issued. If your balance does not meet the threshold, it carries over to the next month.

If a customer you referred receives a full refund, the corresponding commission is reversed and deducted from your balance. If a partial refund is issued, the commission is adjusted accordingly. This is why all commissions are held for 30 days before becoming eligible for payout.

This depends on the specific program. Some programs offer recurring commissions, meaning you earn a percentage of every renewal payment made by customers you referred, for as long as their subscription remains active. Other programs offer a one-time commission on the initial sale only.

Whether a program offers recurring commissions is clearly indicated on the program page and in your affiliate dashboard.

Tracking and Cookies

When someone clicks your unique affiliate link, a tracking cookie is placed on their device. If that person makes a qualifying purchase while the cookie is still active, the sale is attributed to you and you earn a commission. Your affiliate dashboard shows clicks, conversions, and earnings in real time.

Our standard cookie duration is 90 days. This means that if a visitor clicks your affiliate link and makes a purchase within 90 days, you will receive the commission. If the cookie expires before a purchase is made, or if the visitor clears their cookies or uses a different device, the referral will not be tracked.

We use a last-click attribution model. If a customer clicks affiliate links from multiple affiliates before making a purchase, the commission is awarded to the affiliate whose link was clicked most recently before the sale was completed.

Promotion Guidelines

You are welcome to promote your affiliate links on any platform you own or control, as long as it complies with our guidelines. Approved promotional channels include:

  • Personal websites and blogs — product reviews, tutorials, comparison articles, resource pages, and sidebar banners.
  • YouTube and video platforms — video reviews, walkthroughs, demonstrations, and description box links.
  • Social media — posts and stories on Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, and similar platforms.
  • Podcasts — spoken recommendations with links in show notes.
  • Email newsletters — promotions sent to your own opted-in subscriber list.
  • Online communities — relevant forum posts or group discussions where self-promotion is permitted by the community rules.

You may not promote affiliate links on websites or platforms that contain:

  • Violent, threatening, or hateful content.
  • Content that promotes illegal activities.
  • Content that is defamatory, discriminatory, or harassing.
  • Malware, spyware, or deceptive software downloads.
  • Scraped, stolen, or plagiarised content.

We reserve the right to reject or terminate affiliates whose promotional platforms do not meet our standards. If you are unsure whether your site qualifies, contact our affiliate team before applying.

The following promotional methods are strictly prohibited across all programs:

  • Spam — sending unsolicited bulk emails, messages, or comments containing affiliate links.
  • Trademark bidding — purchasing paid search ads (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.) using our brand names, product names, or variations as keywords without written permission.
  • Cookie stuffing — placing tracking cookies on a visitor’s device without their knowledge through hidden iframes, zero-pixel images, or forced redirects.
  • Incentivised clicks — offering cashback, rewards, loyalty points, or other incentives in exchange for clicking your affiliate link or making a purchase, unless approved in writing.
  • Misleading claims — making false, exaggerated, or unsubstantiated claims about our products, pricing, or features.
  • Self-referrals — using your own affiliate links to purchase products for yourself or accounts you own.
  • Unauthorised coupons — listing our products on coupon or deal sites using discount codes not officially issued to you.

Violating any of these rules may result in commission reversal, account suspension, or permanent removal from the program.

Yes, always. You are legally required to disclose your affiliate relationship in all promotional content. This means clearly stating that you may earn a commission if someone makes a purchase through your link. A simple disclosure such as:

“This post contains affiliate links. If you make a purchase through these links, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.”

Your disclosure must comply with the advertising standards and regulations in your country, including the UK ASA guidelines, US FTC Endorsement Guides, and EU consumer protection directives.

Yes, you can use paid social media advertising (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, etc.) and other paid channels to promote your content that contains affiliate links. However, you may not bid on or use our brand names, product names, or any close variations as keywords in paid search campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.) without prior written consent.

You also may not use your affiliate link as the direct destination URL in any paid ad. Paid ads should drive traffic to your own content (blog post, landing page, video) which then links to our products.
